Doula

Compassionate birth and postnatal support from experienced companions who guide you through pregnancy, labour, and beyond.

What Is a Doula?

Your Birth Companion

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after childbirth. Unlike midwives or doctors, doulas don’t provide medical care - instead, they focus entirely on your comfort, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

Doulas support birth in all settings - hospitals, birth centres, and home births. Many also offer postnatal support, helping new parents adjust during the early weeks with their baby.

What to Expect

Your doula will typically meet with you during pregnancy to discuss your birth preferences and build a relationship of trust. During labour, they’ll be by your side offering comfort measures, breathing techniques, massage, and advocacy.

Postnatal doulas help with infant feeding, emotional support, light household tasks, and ensuring you feel supported as you recover and bond with your baby.
